    A: Pre-orders for the physical zine should be fulfilled around late spring 2026. Our goal is to have extra physical copies for sale at the Raimei ni Tsuzuke! budaixi-only doujin event in Tokyo on May 17, 2026. Assuming we successfully apply for a table at Raimei, preorder pickup will also be available at the event.    The free digital edition of the zine will tentatively be made available on July 8, 2026, which is the 10th anniversary of the broadcast of Season 1, Episode 1 of Thunderbolt Fantasy.Dates and details are subject to change depending on various logistical factors. Please check our social media platforms for the latest announcements in case anything changes.Q: Will this zine be for profit?
    A: No. The digital version will be free, and the physical copies will be priced to cover the costs of production, including the copies that are for compensating moderators and contributors. Shipping will be calculated separately. Any extra money earned after that will be donated to a nonprofit/aid organization (specific organization TBD).    Q: How will contributors be compensated?
    A: Contributors will receive a free physical zine copy (shipping costs covered) as compensation.    Q: What time zone are you using for dates and deadlines?
    A: Unless otherwise specified, forms open at 00:00 AM UTC-11 of the start date and close at 11:59 PM UTC-11 of the end date. To avoid confusion, please refer to the countdown timer on this page as the standard for form submission deadlines.    Contributor Application QuestionsQ: Who can apply for this zine?
    A: Applications will be open to anyone who is a fan of Thunderbolt Fantasy. We have mods who can communicate in English, Mandarin, and Japanese, and our announcements and information for the project will be available in English, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese.    Q: What kinds of submissions will be accepted?
    A: This zine will be accepting not only digital artwork and written works, but also "alternate media." This means fanworks of any kind - cosplays, custom dolls, fan essays, recipes inspired by the show, and more!    As long as we can have a photograph/text and can include it into our book in some form, we will accept anything that fits our content guidelines. (However, we will NOT accept any work in any medium that is created using generative AI.)Q: How do I apply to be a contributor for this zine?
    A: Applications will be pitch-based, meaning applicants will not be submitting an already completed piece for consideration. Instead, applicants will be asked to pitch ideas for a brand-new Thunderbolt Fantasy-related work that has never been published before, either on social media or physically, such as in other zines/anthologies.    Q: Will all applicants be accepted as contributors? How will contributors be selected?
    A: We will accept as many contributors as possible. Please rest assured that we will not screen applicants according to skill, experience level, or popularity.    Our one hard rule for contributors is no harassment and no hate speech toward others. Violation of this rule is grounds for rejection or removal from this project and blacklisting from future projects organized by this mod team.Q: Can I pitch more than one work? Can I pitch more than one type of work?
    A: Yes. Applicants may pitch up to three (3) works. If you pitch more than one work, the proposed works can be in different media. For example, these combinations are all acceptable:    - Three pitches for art
    - Two pitches for art, and one pitch for fan fiction
    - One pitch each for art, writing, and alternate media    Of course, if you can only think of one idea or can only commit to creating one piece, that’s fine, too!If your pitch ideas are across different categories, please make sure to fill out the application forms for each category accordingly. For example, if your three proposed works are an illustration, a fic, and a cosplay photo, you will need to fill out the artist application, the writer application, and the alternate media contributor application.If you are unsure of which application forms you should fill out, please contact us.Q: Will you accept works that involve shipping between characters? Will you accept works containing NSFW/R18 content?
    A: Yes, we will accept works involving shipping between characters and/or NSFW content. After considering the results of the interest check and the workload involved for the moderators, we have decided to split the zine three ways. The main volume will be general content only (no ships, no NSFW content) and will be published in both digital and print formats. We will also publish two optional and free digital-only add-on volumes, one for SFW ship content and one for NSFW content.    In order to ensure all contributors have at least one of their works included in the physical volume that will be provided to contributors as compensation, every contributor must submit at least one general work with no ship-focused or NSFW content, so please plan your pitches accordingly when submitting your application.The presence of NSFW content in the zine means that all contributors must be over the age of 18 to submit.Q: For comics, fics, or other text-based media, can I submit works in a language other than English?
    A: Currently, our mod team has the capacity to handle submissions in English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified are both acceptable), and Japanese. We encourage creators to use whichever language among these languages that they are most comfortable with for their submissions. We are planning to publish submissions in their original language.    Additionally, we hope to publish translations of as many of the works as we can, with permission from the creators. However, the feasibility of this will be subject to translator availability. Our plan is to make the translated versions of the works available in a digital format and include the links to the translations in the physical and digital versions of the zine.Q: Are collaborative works between multiple creators allowed?
    A: Yes. Collaborations are welcome. Generally, every person involved in the collaboration should fill out the appropriate application forms for the medium they are working with, and indicate who the other members of the collaboration are.    For example, if Creator A is writing a fic and Creator B is creating an illustration to go with that fic, then Creator A should fill out the writer application, and Creator B should fill out the artist application.For pair or group cosplay photos, however, just one alternate media contributor application will be fine. The person filling out the application form will be considered the representative for the cosplay pair/group. This means that if you are accepted, you will be responsible for obtaining the permission of all other cosplayers in your pair/group, as well as your photographer, to submit a photo for this zine.If you are unsure of which application forms you should fill out, please contact us.Q: Do contributor submissions have to follow a specific theme?
    A: No. This zine is a celebration of 10 years of Thunderbolt Fantasy, so as long as your ideas are Thunderbolt Fantasy-related and conform to our other content guidelines below, go ahead and make your pitch!    Q: Will you accept works that contain spoilers for the series?
    A: Yes. We will accept submissions that include spoilers for anything through/including the final movie. However, you do not need to have watched the whole series from start to finish to contribute.    Q: Will you accept works that feature OCs (original characters)?
    A: The primary characters featured in any work should be canon characters from Thunderbolt Fantasy. Made-up minor supporting/background characters are allowed.    Q: Will you accept works that feature crossovers with other media?
    A: No. For the purpose of this zine, we ask that contributors stick to Thunderbolt Fantasy characters and content only. Pili main series characters that make a cameo in Thunderbolt Fantasy (such as Qi Tian Di, Qin Jia Xian, and Yin Shi Ren) are acceptable as supporting characters.    Q: Will you accept works set in AUs (alternate universes)?
    A: General AUs that feature the Thunderbolt Fantasy characters are acceptable. By “general,” we mean AUs that do not reference other copyrighted media/IPs. For example, a school AU is acceptable, but not a Harry Potter AU, not even if it is an illustration of Thunderbolt Fantasy characters wearing Hogwarts uniforms.    Q: Is there a word count limit for fics? Is there a page count limit for comics?
    A: The word count limit for fics is 2000 words. The page count limit for comics is 6 pages.    Q: Do I need to use particular spelling conventions for the names of characters and other proper nouns? (For text submissions in English)
    A: Creators may use whatever spellings they are most comfortable with, whether it's the pinyin romanizations based on the Mandarin pronunciations or the romanizations based on the Japanese pronunciations, as long as everything is internally consistent.    Copyeditor mods who are familiar with both the Mandarin and Japanese versions of the names, the general romanization conventions for the two languages, and the potential variations within them (e.g. Shō vs. Shou vs. Sho, or Wú Shēng vs. Wusheng vs. WuSheng) will help check to make sure everything is in order.Q: What happens after applications close?
    A: We will send out acceptance emails 1 week after applications close. If we find any issues with your pitches not conforming to our guidelines, we will contact you to address them so that your application can be reconsidered. If the screening process will take longer, we will post announcements on our social media accounts.    Once the contributor lineup and contents of the zine have been determined, contributors can begin working on their creation(s). The creation period will be around 5 months, with 3 progress check-ins on October 6, November 10, and December 15, and a final completion deadline on January 26, 2026. Please see our full zine schedule for more important dates.Q: What if I'm accepted as a contributor but need to drop out of the project?
    A: We understand; life happens. Please inform us as soon as you know that you are no longer able to commit to this project. You will still be welcome to submit to future projects of a similar nature run by this mod team.    Q: Can I post my contribution(s) online after the zine is published?
    A: Yes, but please wait until the designated date when contributors can start posting their works.    Q: Who owns the rights to my submission?
    A: Your submission is your own intellectual property. Please rest assured that we will not do anything with your submission that is unrelated to publishing it in our zine, including profiting off your work, making unauthorized reproductions of it, or using it to train AI.     Our zine is not for profit. It has been priced with the goal of covering production costs, including copies for compensating moderators and contributors.       A: 目前主催團隊可處理的語言包含英文、中文(簡繁皆可)及日文。我們鼓勵創作者用其中使用起來最舒適的語言進行創作。出版時，我們希望以原文呈現。      我們也希望盡量地(在原作者同意後)提供所有作品的翻譯，然而能否達成取決於翻譯人手是否足夠。我們計畫於電子書及實體書中提供翻譯文字檔的連結/QRcode。Q:可以提案共同創作的作品嗎？

      A: 可以，我們接受包含系列各作品及最終章劇情結局的創作。但沒有從頭到尾看完東離劍遊紀系列也可以投稿。      Q:投稿內容中可以有原創角色嗎？
      A: 任何作品中的主要角色皆須為東離劍遊紀官方角色。原創角色可作為配角或路人出現。      Q: 投稿內容可涵蓋其他系列作品的人物嗎？
      A: 不行。為遵循合誌主題，創作內容僅能出現東離的角色及相關內容。有在東離劍遊紀中客串的霹靂正劇人物(如棄天帝、秦假仙、蔭屍人等)可作為配角出現。      Q: 投稿內容可以設在AU(架空/平行宇宙)嗎？
      A: 將東離的角色代入一般AU的話可以。一般AU指不涉及任何其他版權作品的世界觀。舉例來說，校園AU可以，哈利波特AU不行，就算只是東離的角色穿霍格華茲制服也不行。      Q: 小說創作是否有字數限制？漫畫創作是否有頁數限制？
      A: 是，小說創作字數限制為6000字，漫畫創作頁數限制為6頁。      Q: 報名結束後的程序是什麼？

        A: 当アンソロジーには、ファンアートと小説は勿論、その他メディアも受け付けます。「その他メディア」とは他の同人作品の意味です。コスプレ、カストマイズされたドール、エッセイ、サンファンに触発されたレシピなどが歓迎です！原則として、当アンソロジーの範囲内で、画像か文章の形式であれば、可能な限りで受け付けます。（ただし、メディアの種類や形式にもかかわらず、生成AIで作られた作品を受付しません。）        Q: どうやって参加者（寄稿者）として応募しますか？

        A: はい。お一人様は3つのアイデアまで提案できます。それぞれのアイデアが違う種類（アート、文章、 その他メディア）でも問題ありません。例えば、下記の組み合わせは全てOKです：

        A: はい、CP要素がある作品とR-18作品を受け付けますが、電子おまけに掲載します。        意向調査アンケートの結果と主催チームの想定の負担に基づいて、アンソロジーを３冊（アンソロジー自体１冊、無料電子おまけ２冊）に分けることを決定しました。アンソロジー自体は全年齢、オールキャラ（CP要素なし）で、紙版（有料）と電子版（販売が終了した何ヶ月後に公開する予定）で頒布します。また、２冊の無料電子おまけは：①全年齢、オールCP版と② R-18、オールキャラ、オールCP版になります。電子おまけにのご参加は任意ですが、お礼として参加者の皆様に紙版を献本させていただきたいので、おまけに寄稿されたい場合、必ずアンソロジー自体に作品を寄稿してください。要するに、各参加者は電子おまけに寄稿されたいにも関わらず、最少１つの全年齢対象、CP要素なし作品をアンソロジー自体に寄稿してください。電子おまけにはR-18の作品を受付するため、18歳以上の方のみを募集しております（R-18版にご参加されたいかどうかにも関わらず）。Q: 全ての応募者を寄稿者として受け入れますか？どうやって寄稿者を選考しますか？

        A: 現在、対応できる言語は英語、中文（繁体字と簡体字）、と日本語です。その３つの言語のうち、ご自分にとって最も楽な言語で作品を作ってくださいませ。寄稿を原語で公開します。        また、できる限り、作者の皆さんのご許可を得る上で、多くの作品を翻訳するのを目指していますが、実施できるかどうかは作品の数や種類、そして対応できる主催チームメンバーの有無次第です。作品の翻訳を電子ファイルでまとめて、そのファイルのURLを当アンソロジーの紙版と電子版に記載する予定です。Q: 合同作品（複数の作者が共同で制作した作品）を受け付けますか？
        A: はい。ケースバイケース扱いの場合もありますが、基本的に、合同作品の場合にも、各共作者が当該のフォームを記入し、他の共作者を記載するのが必要です。        例えば、作者Aが小説を書き、作者Bがその小説に合わせてイラストを描きたい場合、作者Aが執筆者応募フォームを記入し、作者Bは絵師応募フォームを記入します。該当するフォームか分からなければ、お気軽に主催チームにご連絡ください。Q: アイデア・作品は特定のテーマに添わなければなりませんか？
        A: いいえ。当アンソロジーはサンファン10周年の記念なので、アイデアがサンファン関連で、下記の他の注意事項に従えば、ぜひご提案ください。        Q: ネタバレあり作品を受け付けますか？

        価格について
        当アンソロジーは非営利の企画です。紙版は制作費（お礼用の本の印刷費などを含め）を賄えるように価格を設定しました。送料は別途かかります。        余剰金がある場合、Khartoum Aid Kitchen（ハルツーム・エイド・キッチン）というスーダン危機に影響を受けた家族に食料と医療支援を提供している人道援助支援団体に寄付する予定です。発送について
